There’s some ways that things like Video Games could affect your brain, and that is Anatomy & Physiology. Anatomy is one of the things that affect your brain, and is concerned with the structure of living things, like humans, animals, etc. Physiology is another one of the things that affect your brain, and deals with some functions that go with living organisms. These could either lead to positive effects, or negative effects. But in my opinion, I think that the positive effects outweigh the negative effects. I put the reason why video games on Teen Brains in a synopsis that I created, and it will be shown at the Chula Vista Zine Fest. Here are some of the ways that Anatomy & Physiology could affect someone’s brain when they’re playing video games:

One thing we learned from this semester was nucleic acids and DNA. Nucleic acids are a class of biomolecules that are found in all living organisms, including us. It can store genetic information, including DNA, which makes people like us who we are. When we are born from our parents, we might have the same personality or anything else that relates to our parents, including the color of the eyes we have. During the field trip we had at the UCSD on March 7th, we had the chance to use electrophoresis to inject mice DNA into Jell wells. It was fun, and I never got to do an experiment like that before. I liked getting to see what a scientist’s day to day looks like. Even though I like doing that experiment, I wouldn’t really want to do it in my work future. This was my group doing one of the experiments.
Something that we learned in Biology is Basic Needs for humans to survive and be happy. Some of the needs we learned about are:
Throughout the past years and right now, there has been some skills that I’ve improved on, whether it’s a skill that is school-subject related or a skill that I could work in groups or more. And these kind of skills are Hard Skills & Soft Skills. Hard Skills are school-subject related, and could be worked on my own. Soft Skills are skills that I could work in groups, even if they’re school-subject related. Here are some of the Skills I’ve been working and improving on throughout my High Tech School Years.
Hard Skills
Ever since I was little, I really loved movies. Even though Video Games satisfy me, Movies gave me a lot of satisfaction, some of them embracing powerful and emotional messages, as well as some movies that give me laughs. Some of the movie genres I like are Action, Superhero, Sci-Fi, Drama, and my favorite; Animated. Speaking of animated, my first movie that I watched was Monsters Inc, and that never stopped me from loving those kind of movies. Even though these movies were still loved by me, there is another genre that I haven’t heard of, that I like as of right now, I’ve seen it right from middle school, and that was called Documentaries. These kind of films take place in reality, and show real people talking about what happened in their past. The first Documentary that I watched was called Mighty Times: The Children’s March, which gave a lot of heart and emotion to me, and told me a whole lot about the Birmingham campaign. This made me have my biggest dream, which was to act in or direct a movie. To do this, I started a movie project in 9th Grade called; Survive To Thrive, a 10 episode dystopian-apocalyptic movie which we filmed on the school campus, and at Palomar Mountain. I was the star of the 9th episode, which I played the role as Cato. The things we needed for the project were storytelling, a script, a camera to record, etc. We premiered the film on April 29th, 2017 at the Ken Cinema, and everyone who came here loved it. 2 years later, as of right now, we are starting Internship which will begin May 6th of this year, and we had to pick which organization to work at. What I picked was Media Arts Center San Diego, and organization where they make short documentaries and premiere it in their cinema. I wanted to make a movie with them, so I had to interview someone who worked there. A few days later, I got the internship. I’m planning to try my best to stick with Media Arts, and maybe in the future, I could work with them fully. Right now, I feel excited about what will happen during the internship.
