Over last week, I've been thinking up ideas for my short film, which is my senior project for this year. I still haven't figured out yet, and that's a big struggle for me, but learning from what I've done in my project overview, I feel like I could try to think up the best ideas I can, think up the best script as I can, and think up the best place where to film as I can.

This week, I've been planning on where to film, for example, I could film at Dad's house, my Abulita's house, or (probably) outside. This almost made me concerned, and if I'm not allowed to, I might just film right at the houses. Thinking up ideas for myself is hard, and maybe gets me a bit bored. In fact, I think I have a perfect plan to do a short film in an easy way, I might not write a script, because I'm afraid it might get blown or thrown away when I leave it outside, so instead, I'm going to do my own script by just saying it, but not writing it. Then, I might write a script from what I said from the video. if all that doesn't work, I might just go the regular way, and it's still being a big struggle for me, so I might try to improve on what I do.

- The progress I had made so far have been changing things up with writing the script, and switching it to just video, because trying to write a script could be a bit hard for me.
- The type of video that I’m deciding to focus on are the “Plushtuber” videos, and although research may not think it’s popular, I could still try to find a website that has research in it.
- Losing my toys at another house could be a struggle for me, especially trying to keep the toys together to start filming.
- Although I might make changes to switching for script to video, I might even focus on writing a cast and explaining the plot as well.
- My high is getting Disney+ on my phone thanks to my Tio. and my low has been losing a few toys at my Abulita’s house.

- The progress I had made so far have been starting on filming my short film, and that short film I made is a test short, because I have other ideas in mind for it.
- The place where I filmed my short film was at a pizza place, and filming somewhere else rather than my house has become a significant thing I learned.
- Trying to find a place to film could be a struggle for me, even when trying to get ideas from someone else.
- The changes I’m planning to make next week is to think up another idea for my short film, and try to get inspiration more often.
- My high has been getting my chance to film somewhere else, because I wanted to do that ever since, and my low has been struggling to edit my short.

- The thing I learned last week is that you could get help on making something, like a short film.
- A struggle this week has been thinking up ideas for my next short film I'm planning to work on.
- My plan to improve my senior project is to work on another short film, by thinking up more ideas, and getting help from someone in my family.
- I don't have any highs or lows this week.
Final Blog Post
- The skill I was working on was filming, which would take a lot of hard work to do, by having directors, producers, writers, actors, etc. What I did to make my short film was record on my iPhone, and edit on iMovie to get the final video. From the first learning goal I did, I learned that getting ideas from someone who knows me is a perfect plan for my short film. My mom helped me with an idea by telling me that we were going to go to a trolley, which gave me that idea. From the second learning goal I did, I learned that sometimes if you can’t come up on writing a script on paper, you could just say your own script while you record. What I mostly did for the script was impromptu. From the third learning goal I did, I learned that filming on a phone is just as easy without trying to buy a big camera. I now understand that I can use cheaper technology to make a short film, and not expensive ones.
- What made me do a short film project is inspired by my love for films, and how people sometimes start out with short films before making a full length feature. One key moment in this project was leaving the script behind so I could focus on the video. This would make my work on the short film faster. Another key moment was sound effects. Instead of installing sound effects on my phone, which would fill my storage up, I decided to record the sound effects on the video that has the sound effect I want to use. My last key moment was cancelling the second short film. Instead of rushing to get the short film done immediately, I would have to cancel or postpone to another day. The biggest struggle for me was the ideas for my first short film. I started out not having ideas for my short film, but then when I got an idea from mom, I overcame it.
- I feel like I accomplished something that I’ve wanted to do at my school for a long time, and would like to show my projects to everyone who is interested. I was extremely proud of how I improved my filming skills and how I improved my quality from the videos I made when I was younger. I could’ve just shared a video from my past to show how I first got interested in film studies. I could’ve changed something by adding more information about my past into my film. During these trying times, I realized that I like to be around people, even if we’re not outside together, or not meeting up somewhere. Things that I did to manage myself as a student during quarantine, was homework to be done, by doing the homework as soon as possible, or meeting up with Ms. Drea for help on the work. Things I managed to do as a human during quarantine was staying clean and healthy by using hand sanitizer and Clorox disinfecting wipes.
